Health Center

The Hammond Health Center serves the individual and collective health care needs of the Ithaca College community by providing comprehensive primary care medical services for students, individual and community education, and prevention and health screening, and by assessing and responding to the public health needs of the campus community. Committed to providing students with excellent and highly accessible clinical services in an inviting, respectful, and confidential environment, the center strives to promote healthy life choices, to educate students about their illnesses and medical care, to promote consumer competency, and to listen to and partner with students in providing care. It adheres to the general principles and standards of ethical conduct endorsed by the American College Health Association: to do no harm, provide service in a caring manner, respect autonomy, protect privacy, maintain competence, promote justice, and respect diversity. The Ithaca College student health service is fully accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory of Health Care.

Prior to the first day of classes, every matriculating student (freshman, transfer, or adult student) is required to complete and submit the Health Certification Form to the College health center. Students who do not comply with this requirement will not be allowed to remain on campus, and their course registrations will be canceled. In the event that a student does not receive a copy of this form in the mail, he or she may obtain one from the College health center, or online at www.ithaca.edu/health.
