Ithaca College has a number of articulation agreements with area community colleges and other two-year colleges. These agreements make it possible for students to plan a program of study that begins with an associate degree at a two-year college and leads to a four-year degree from Ithaca College. These agreements are designed to maximize the number of credits students will be able to transfer to Ithaca College. Areas of concern such as admission to Ithaca College, financial aid, and campus housing are clearly discussed.
Articulation agreements are made with specific programs at the two-year colleges and require students to complete one of these degree programs with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher. Each agreement specifies how course work in the associate degree program applies to the Ithaca College baccalaureate degree program and recommends appropriate courses to complete at the two-year college. Articulation agreements also specify courses that must be taken at Ithaca College to maximize the likelihood of completing the baccalaureate degree in two years of additional study.
Students interested in admission to Ithaca College through an articulation agreement are encouraged to contact the Office of Admission during the first or second year of their associate degree programs. Copies of the following agreements are available from the Office of Admission.
Agreements are being developed with additional institutions in a variety of degree programs. For information, contact the Office of Admission, 800-429-4274 or 607-274-3124.
