May Faculty Institute "Theirs, Mine and Ours: Meeting Collective Objectives through Comprehensive Assessment" May 19; more information here; program on the right.

Panel and Workshop: "Using Podcasts in Your Courses*is a two-part series on May 18 and 21 sponsored by ITS and CFE.  On May 18, 10:30 a.m.-noon in CHS 207 is a Panel and Discussion -- "Course Podcasts: Imagining the Possibilities" followed, on May 21 and 22, by two hands-on workshops. "Preparing a Winning Book Proposal" is a workshop with Sheri Englund, Ph.D., on Tuesday June 9, 10:30-noon in the DeMotte Room. Information on the right; online registration here.

Spring Faculty Development Conference: This annual event features faculty scholarship illustrating each of the five types of scholarship in our Faculty Handbook. It is on Wednesday, May 13 from 9 to noon in the Klingenstein Lounge. Please come for any or all of the sessions. The program is here

The Fall Faculty Workshop took place on Saturday, September 6. Who We Are and What We Do featured remarks from each of this year's Excellence Award recipients followed by mini-workshops led by faculty members. The tracks of the workshops were Teaching with Technology, Classroom Effectiveness, and Scholarship in a Comprehensive College.  More information is on the right.

The Tenure Seminar occurred for a second year, open to anyone anticipating creating a file for tenure and/or promotion.  More information is on the right.

The all-college Mentoring Program once again welcomed faculty members at any length of service. We form small heterogeneous groups and they meet typically every two weeks.
