Learning Outcomes and Course Design in Service-Learning

This highly interactive workshop for will introduce participants to key concepts and principles of service-learning course design. Participants will learn how to construct learning outcomes and design instructional strategies based a unique integrative course design framework. Participants will discuss how to foster and evaluate students’ critical reflection before, during and after participation in service-learning. The session will share example service-learning syllabi, learning outcome and course design templates and additional service-learning resources.

IC Student United Way is looking for a group of dedicated students who are interested in giving back to the community by helping plan various events, fundraisers and donation drives. As a member of the ICSUW, you will help to plan our annual Family Carnival, an event that raises funds for our Fall allocations to local organizations
February is American Heart Month. IC is launching a Go Red for Women campaign to bring awareness of heart health to the campus. Although our campaign is focused on preventing and fighting the number one killer of women, heart disease, all faculty, staff and administrators are invited to participate.
