Dear Family, Friends & Guests of the Ithaca College Class of 2008,

Congratulations to both you and the Ithaca College student in your life! Commencement is a time of great pride and
joy, and we look forward to sharing that experience with you. Once again this year, Ithaca College is pleased to offer on-campus housing and meals during our May 2008 Commencement weekend to family, friends, and guests of our graduating students. If you have an interest in on-campus housing, please read all of the information below and then complete the commencement housing form.

Commencement Housing Reservations: On-campus accommodations for Commencement weekend are available. We offer single rooms at $110 and double rooms at $130 for a two-night stay. Single night rates are not available. In the section provided on the form, please indicate any special medical needs or disabilities we should consider in making your housing assignments. Please be sure to indicate gender(s) of person(s) with needs. Also, when placing guests in their housing assignments, we make every attempt to house all indicated groups together.

Reservations will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. These single and double rooms are located in our on-campus residence halls, and housing is limited. As a result, we ask that you reserve only those spaces you will definitely need.

Each occupant is provided with a twin-size, extra-long bed with sheets, towels, pillow, and blanket. Any other amenities or toiletries you may need will be your responsibility to bring. All of our residence halls are equipped with community bathrooms. Separate male and female bathrooms are designated on alternate wings of each floor, or by floor. All residence halls are non-smoking environments. Emerson Hall and college apartments are not available as housing options.

Reservations, with payment, are due by April 18, 2008. No reservations will be accepted, nor will any refunds be given, following the April 18 due date. Confirmation e-mails will be sent to the e-mail address you indicate by May 2, 2008. Information about your specific room assignment(s) will not be available to you, however, until check-in day. Should your plans change after reservations are made, we ask that you e-mail us.

Check-In for Housing Accommodations: Check-in for Commencement housing will occur in Eastman Hall on the following dates and times:

  • Saturday, May 17, 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 18, noon-5:00 p.m.

If you are unable to check in during these hours, please have your student pick up your keys for you. Checkout should occur no later than noon on Monday, May 19.

Meal Options: Meals are available on a walk-in/cash basis from lunch on Friday, May 16, through breakfast on
Sunday, May 18, in various dining halls located on campus. Additionally, on Friday, May 16, a Shabbat Dinner will be held in the Terrace Dining Hall from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m., for $12 per person; and on Sunday, May 18, breakfast will held in the Campus Center and Terrace Dining Halls from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m., for $5.75 per person.

We look forward to your stay with us for this year's Commencement activities. Should you have any questions prior to your arrival, please feel free to e-mail us.

Sincerely,
