Special Seating
A special seating section may be used by individuals who, due to health or mobility impairment or other disabling conditions, cannot or should not walk from the parking lot to the stadium seating. These guests may be driven to an area near the special seating gate where they can be dropped off and assisted to the seating area by a companion or by College personnel, if necessary. Because of space limitations, only one guest may accompany each disabled individual. Requests for special seating can be made online via the Commencement Information Page on the Office of Public Safety's Website.
Guests using special seating should be aware that they may experience a delay in getting off the field after Commencement. Arrangements for special seating must be made by the Friday immediately preceding Commencement.
A sign language interpreter will be available in the special seating section.
As an alternative to special seating, some guests may wish to view the ceremony on television on local cable from their hotel rooms or at locations across campus. (Visit the Cablecast/Webcast section of the Commencement website for complete list.)
For further information on special seating, please contact the Office of Public Safety at 607-274-3756, weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
