Important Information for Graduates

Welcome from the Dean

Graduate Students,

It is my pleasure to invite you to the sixth annual graduate hooding ceremony at Ithaca College on Saturday, May 19, to be held in honor of your significant achievement in earning an advanced degree. The ceremony will take place from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. in the Ben Light Gymnasium in the Hill Center, followed by a reception from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in McHenry Lobby, Whalen Center.

The Hooding Ceremony provides us with a special opportunity to extend our congratulations to you from your chair and dean, to share messages from the provost and president, and to enjoy a formal reception held in your honor.

I do hope that you and your guests are able to attend our graduate hooding ceremony, as well as IC's Commencement on Sunday, May 20, and that this website assists you in your planning. Should you have any questions about the hooding, please feel free to contact the Division of Graduate and Professional Studies.

All the best to you in the completion of your degree requirements; I look forward to honoring your outstanding achievement at this special ceremony.

Sincerely,

Rob Gearhart
Acting Dean of Graduate and Professional Studies
