Where can I purchase my cap and gown?
Master's and doctoral regalia can be ordered through the College Bookstore by Monday, March 24. The
cost of the cap, gown, tassel and hood is $78 including tax. The cost for the DPT unit is $190
including tax. Payment is required when you place your order. You may pick up your regalia at the
Bookstore buyback window from Wednesday, May 14 through Saturday, May 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.,
and on Sunday, May 18, prior to Commencement, if you need to. You also may order your regalia on the Bookstore website.
How do I apply for graduation?
You must register for graduation with the Office of the Registrar. You may register in person or via
the web.
Should I wear my cap to the graduate hooding ceremony?
No, graduate students will be hooded formally by their graduate chair at the ceremony.
What should I do with my hood during the ceremony?
Carry your hood over your arm so you may hand it to your graduate chair for hooding.
Where do graduate students sit during the hooding ceremony?
In the front of the auditorium, there will be seats for graduate students, divided according to
academic program.
Who may attend the hooding ceremony?
Bring as many guests and family members as you would like. There are plenty of seats. No tickets are
required.
