Faculty Development

Educating Today’s Leaders

In addition to enhancing Ithaca College’s ability to produce tomorrow’s leaders working towards a sustainable society, we seek to expand our outreach to the community and to other colleges and universities in order to widely disseminate our model and to create the greatest possible impact from our work. To date, we have developed:

  • The Finger Lakes Project workshop on sustainability curriculum development that attracts between 20 and 40 regional, national and international participants each year. This specialized training workshop was inspired by the Ponderosa Project at Northern Arizona University and the Piedmont Project at Emory University
  • The Minigrant-Program awards mini-grants to faculty, staff and students at Ithaca College and our educational partners at EcoVillage of Ithaca.  Each recipient is awarded $1,000 and has presented the results of their work in a variety of venues including Campus Sustainability Day, the Finger Lakes Project Workshop, or Sustainability Cafe.
