Study Abroad Opportunities

SHORT-TERM AND IN-HOUSE STUDY ABROAD OPPORTUNITIES:

Belize: We have developed a course that explores the emergence of this Central American country in the context of conservation and ecotourism.  Belize's Rainforests, Reefs and Ruins is a 2-week course in January that visits Mayan caves and ruins, camps in the rainforest, and investigates the second largest barrier reef in the world.

Ecuador: We are developing a course in Sustainability in the Amazon Basin designed to be the first college course to incorporate experiential learning and cultural immersion with the Quechua and Achuar Indigenous communities in the Amazon region of Ecuador.

STUDY ABROAD OPPORTUNITIES WITH ITHACA COLLEGE AFFILIATED PROGRAMS:

Living Routes: Ithaca College is affiliated with Living Routes, a non-profit organization that offers semester and 1 month  programs at several ecovillages internationally.

Center for Ecological Living and Learning (CELL): Ithaca College is also affiliated with CELL, a non-profit organization offers programs for undergraduate students that focus on sustainability and community-based service learning.
