Marian Brown, special assistant to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs for Sustainability, provides staff support for the College’s sustainability initiative, hosts sustainability educational events, and documents the college’s sustainability progress. Along with her work on the “Committed to Change” steering committee, she is a member of the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment campus committee that developed the College’s climate action plan and chairing the CAP implementation transportation team. Off-campus, she serves on the boards of Sustainable Tompkins and Ithaca Carshare, and is on the advisory board for Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Environment Program committee. She provides logistical support for the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival and represents Ithaca College on the Tompkins County Climate Protection Initiative. Brown is also the program manager and developer of several seminars for Ithaca College’s new on-line professional certificate program in Sustainability Leadership.
