Karryn Olson-Ramanujan is a lecturer in the Department of Environmental Studies and Sciences. In 2008, Karryn became the coordinator of the Partnerships in Sustainability Education between Ecovillage and Ithaca College, and she co-leads the Community Partners aspect of the new Committed to Change initiative. As an experienced educator, she has taught Topics in Sustainability courses at IC, and is a lead teacher and board member for the Finger Lakes Permaculture Institute. She co-coordinates the Finger Lakes Project—a workshop that supports professionals in higher education in taking on the challenging, interdisciplinary task of incorporating sustainability into their courses or institutions. In 2012, Karryn is facilitating the implementation of an edible forest garden on IC campus and starting a sustainability consulting business—SEEDS: Strategy, Empowerment, Education and Design for Sustainability—to assist individuals, organizations and businesses to move boldly towards a regenerative future for all.
