Cynthia Scheibe is an associate professor of psychology at Ithaca College. While working on her doctorate in developmental psychology at Cornell University, she and John Condry established the CRETV research lab and archive. She currently teaches courses in life span development and the psychology of television and is the coauthor with John Condry of the second edition of The Psychology of Television (Lawrence Erlbaum Associates - ISBN: 0805806210).

John Condry was a professor of human development and family studies at Cornell University. He studied the content and effects of television since the early 1970s and was frequently consulted by federal and private organizations concerning the effects of television on children.
