CSCRE Director Asma Barlas Publishes Book Chapter on the Qur'an
A chapter written by Asma Barlas, "'Holding Fast by the Best in the Precepts': The Qur'an and Method," will be published in Kari Vogt et al. (eds.), New Directions in Islamic Thought: Exploring Reform and Tradition (London: I.B. Tauris, 2009).Barlas is a professor of politics and also the director the Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity at Ithaca College.
