Hope & Healing Event, Women's Community Building in downtown Ithaca, Saturday, April 18, 2009, 1-4pm

Ithaca College’s Sister 2 Sister, an organization empowering women of color, along with the Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity and several other sponsors, invites you to the Hope & Healing event on Saturday, April 18, 2009, 1-4pm at the Women’s Community Building in downtown Ithaca.

The event will raise awareness about the challenges women of color and low-income women continue to face in New Orleans and why local projects are connected to social justice initiatives in New Orleans. The event is also a benefit for the New Orleans Women’s Health Clinic. Organized by women of color students at Ithaca College, Hope & Healing will include nationally recognized spoken word artists from New York, local speakers and musicians.
