"This program and the way it was put together are amazing and it is a learning experience I will always value."
The 8th annual Cross Cultural Leadership Retreat for Ithaca College students will be held on October 9-11, 2009. It is often expressed by college students that the opportunities are limited to participate in meaningful dialogue about diversity in a cross cultural environment. Presented by the Center for Student Leadership & Involvement and the Office of Multicultural Affairs, this 2 ½ day retreat presents the opportunity to explore various aspects of diversity and their relationship to leadership. During the retreat, the entire group will participate in a series of educational sessions and discuss issues as a large group, as well as in smaller, informal conversations.
Why a Cross Cultural Leadership Retreat?
This retreat is an opportunity to explore the topic of cross cultural interaction and leadership in a structured environment that brings together students from a myriad of cultural backgrounds.
Is this retreat only for ALANA students?
Absolutely not! All Ithaca College students belong to a multitude of different cultures including areas of ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, socio-economics status and many more. As such, we are looking for a group of people that come from many different cultural backgrounds, including those in the "majority." Every Ithaca College student is eligible to apply and highly encouraged to do so.
