About the Women in Leadership Experience
The Women in Leadership Experience was first presented in March 2003 in an effort to bring female students together to discuss and further develop their leadership abilities. It was presented in Ithaca , NY and was attended by 26 Ithaca College students. The conference featured a series of leadership development sessions presented by campus faculty and staff as well as a networking activity. In March 2004, the 2nd annual Women in Leadership Experience moved to Seneca Falls and included a visit to the Women's Rights National Historic Park. It also featured two sessions entitled "Buying a Church, Promoting a Vision, Learning from Experience" and "Nurturing Women Leaders" in which the presenters shared their own personal experiences and insights about leadership from a woman's perspective. The final session of the day featured a panel of three prominent women leaders who shared their own leadership experiences and answered questions from the student participants

he positive response from all of the participants has led to the inclusion of the panel and the visit to the Women's Rights National Historic Park in all of the following Women in Leadership Experiences. Additionally in each year, we have continued our tradition of networking and focusing on engaging dialogue among the participants.
