Euler Formula Activity.

1.  Using the Marshmellows and tooth picks create 3-D shapes and for each shape that you make count the number of f vertices (marshmellows), edges (toothpicks) and faces and summarize them in a table.  You can do the same with paper as we may show in class

Make each shape according the the corresponding rules  (5 rules and so five shapes)

Rule 1:  (4,3)  means 4 marshmesllows and each one connected to 3 toothpicks
Rule 2:  (6,4)
Rule 3:  (8,3)
Rule 4:  (12,5)
Rule 5:  (20,3)

Explore symmetrical ways to count the total number of toothpicks by using the rules.
