 Learning about webpages
today was not a new thing for me.  However, using Dreamweaver to do it
was new.  I'm taking a web-programming class where we write out all the
HTML script, so Dreamweaver is just a short hand for all that.  It's
interesting and informative for me to know how the scripting works while
using this program.

 i really liked class
today (feb. 4).  it was very hands on and i like that.  i hope we do more
of it in the future.  it was nice to work with a partner and then show it

Today was also really fun. The paper area activity reviewed percentages
and taught me a new trick--very helpful and fun.

 TOday, 2/4/05 was a lot
better and I understood and will be able to use this information in the
future. It was something that I can bring with me into the future. I
appreciate your response, and today was a lot clearer than wenesday. :-)
So i guess I need to be more patient and take it in stride because today
I felt as if I took a baby step forward. Thank you Dani.

 today we did exercises with
colored squares and percentages. This was a very useful activity because
it was not limited to paper and pencil. Using colors and having tangible
ways to relate to math is very helpful to me in the long run. I'm a
kinetic learner and it helps me to be able to see and touch what I am
trying to learn about. This class is trying to teach the practical
aspects of math, which I believe are the more important aspects, after
all. Abstract equations are no good if you can't apply simple math to
every day life.

 everyday i come to this
class i realize that all my past years of hard conditioning in math are
floating away. Postitive teachers such as Dani should teach classes in

 My mind is finally
adapting to math! The way my mind is starting to work now, processing
numbers and figuring out structural problems, has really been helping me.
I work at a bike shop (check it out- it's called RIBS- Recycle Ithaca's
Bicycles) and I have noticed that I am having an easier time figuring how
to put the bikes back together. The mechanics come easier to me now!
