Don't Bottle It Up!

Emotions are strong and sometimes if we don't know how to properly handle them they can take over our lives.  There are a variety of emotions some good and some bad but either way one must deal with the pain some way.  Sometimes people bottle their feelings inside for a long time and then when they release all those emotions they break down.  The feelings are just too strong to contain so don't contain them let them go.  I used to bottle up and not tell anyone what was wrong until I found that I'd breakdown because of all the mixed emotions locked deep within my soul.  No matter how long I kept them down there they always seemed to surface so I looked for ways to release my emotional energy in a positive way.
In some situations I would write in a journal to get all my frustrations out, and in others I would go for walks bye myself and just think.  However the most effective way of expressing my emotions was just talking.  I remember one time I was so upset with school work, family, friend, life in general that I felt like I was losing control.  So I called up my good friend and just talked.  Some people have a wonderful gift of listening and my friend had that, and he just listened as I went on and on about all my irritations with life.  After I hung up that phone you know what?  I felt a hundred times better and I was ready to take on the world again.  Sometimes it is very necessary to just release all the negative emotions.  If you are going to bottle up any emotion let it be happiness.
So if you're feeling down just call on a friend, they will always be there to listen.  Keep your emotions open to everyone and everything and your life will be so much brighter.  Always be willing to open up your heart and talk and sometimes listen, because your friends will need to talk too.
