The Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity (CSCRE) is in the process of conducting a search for an associate/full professor and director. The director will provide academic and administrative leadership in the development of the center, and lead the strategic and program planning efforts for the center, including curriculum development, faculty development, and cocurricular and public events.
In addition, the director will oversee the creation and implementation of interdisciplinary programs which combine aspects of ethnic studies and area studies for both a domestic and international understanding of culture, race, and ethnicity. The director will also develop external funding support, provide instructional service, and is expected to teach at least one course each semester.
The center is also conducting a search for a full-time, tenure-eligible assistant professor to teach Latino/Latina studies. Responsibilities include teaching inter- and multidisciplinary courses that add to our minor in Latina/o studies (with some flexibility in designing these courses), advising students, and providing service to the Center and the College.
