Authority
The authority to declare a campus state of emergency lies with the Vice President for Student Affairs and Campus Life or his/her designee(s) in consultation with the president (if available). In the absence of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Campus Life, the Vice President for Finance and Administration; the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs; or the Vice President and College Counsel are designated with the authority.The Vice President for Student Affairs and Campus Life is responsible for establishing the basic policies and procedures that govern the College's emergency response plan. The Vice President for Student Affairs and Campus Life (or designee), in consultation with the president (if available), is the highest level of authority during an emergency.
