Elliott Schwartz visits the Ithaca College School of Music as the Karel Husa Visiting Professor of Composition, October 12 through the 15th as part of the Enduring Masters Series.
A concert, conducted by Steve Peterson, of the Ithaca College Wind Ensemble will perform one of his compositions, on Tuesday October 14th. Concert begins at 8:15 Ford Hall, Whalen Center of Music. It is free and open to the public. His visit will include a lecture on his music and lessons with the woodwind students at Ithaca College.
This concert is part of the Enduring Masters Series, a partnership of the Ithaca College School of Music and the Gerontology Institute, Linden Center for Creativity and Aging, a member of the Division of Interdisciplinary and International Studies. It is funded by the New York State Music Fund established by the New York Attorney General at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors.
