The Enduring Masters and Voices for Creative Aging programs are pleased to have close partnerships with the following organizations:

  • Linden Center for Creativity and Aging - Judi and Jay Linden recognize the need to better understand the links between aging and creativity and the opportunities aging presents for all persons and institutions in society. In particular, they believe it is critical for college students and programs, regardless of discipline, to embrace these opportunities and use them to create new knowledge, products, and art. To that end, they have established the Linden Center for Creativity and Aging within the Gerontology Institute at Ithaca College.  The establishment of the Linden Center complements the goals of the Enduring Masters program, and has played an important role in helping document and archive each Enduring Masters visit to Ithaca College.
  • Gerontology Institute - The Gerontology Institute has had a long-standing interest in the link between creativity and aging. In 1996 it sponsored an exhibit of paintings and sculptures titled Seven over Sixty in the College's Handwerker Gallery. In 2001 the topic of the institute's annual conference was Aging and Creativity, featuring Gene Cohen as the keynote speaker.  Most recently, the Gerontology Institute has played an integral role in the administrative end of the Enduring Masters program, as well as helping to provide a clear vision for the program.
  • IC School of Music - The Ithaca College School of Music has a reputation as one of the finest music schools in the country.  With a diverse curriculum that includes performing, teaching, composition and recording,  Ithaca College prepares students for the music field of their choice.  The Enduring Masters concert series is proud to be included with over 300 concerts held at the school each year.  School of Music students and faculty will also be participating in the Voices for Creative Aging program which facilitates performances at local senior centers throughout the year.
  • Lifelong - Formerly the Tompkins County Senior Citizens Council, Lifelong is a non-profit organization that provides programs promoting health and well-being for members over age 50.  Local artists and Ithaca College student ensembles will be performing at 12 local Lifelong community centers located throughout Central New York.
  • Longview - Resting on South Hill, overlooking Cayuga Lake, Longview is a residential senior community offering its residents an active and stimulating life while enjoying the beauty of the Finger Lakes in Central New York.  As a not-for-profit organization, Longview stands solidly behind its mission: to develop and operate residential living communities to provide older adults with affordable high quality housing, services and continuing care options that enhance quality of life, independence, health, safety, security and personal growth while preserving individual rights to privacy, dignity and respect.   Local artists and Ithaca College student ensembles will be performing special concerts at Longview through March 2009.
