Get to know your IC Event Planners!
Assistant Director for Event Planning and Operations, Mark Warfle, joined the CC&ES team over 10 years ago. A natural born event planner, Mark always gravitated towards organizing whether it was through his work in the local fire department, church or other community activities. While still in high school he got his event start by setting up, bussing and serving at events held at the Owego Treadway Inn. Since then he has coordinated the details for nearly every type of event. His event philosophy is “failing to plan is planning to fail.”
Today, Mark is the “go-to guy” for student events on campus--executing literally hundreds per year. Of his greatest achievements though Mark would point to the Event Planning Internship program in the CC&ES office. “For the last 3 years I have overseen the [event internship] and it has been very gratifying to see our interns experience success while planning events here at IC and knowing that 3 of our interns have graduated from IC and are now in the event planning field in Washington, D.C. and New York City.”
