Assistant Director for Event Planning and Special Programs, Peter Alario, joined the CC&ES team nearly 4 years ago, but he had been working hand in hand with the department for 7 years prior to that as the college's Catering Director. Peter’s extensive background in the food and beverage industry, is not only a benefit to his clients but to all of us in the CC&ES Office.
When Peter is not getting bombarded with food related questions, he is working on HR events, senior class events and summer camps. There is never a dull moment in the CC&ES Office and that suites Peter just fine. “One thing I love about my job is that it requires me to think fast and find viable solutions to an ever-changing set of challenges.” You may wonder how this event planner operates in such a fast paced environment. Peter says the key is to “Forecast! Know as much in advance as you can and ask a lot of good questions to learn everything else. Details are the foundation for planning a successful event.”
