Brief Biography

David Brown is an Associate Professor of Mathematics, having taught at Ithaca College since 2001. He received his BA (1995) from Ithaca College and MS (1998) and PhD (2001) from Cornell University.

David researches in a variety of areas including dynamical systems, fractals, and special functions. He also encourages students to engage in research with him, and has published several papers with undergraduate collaborators. In 2008, David was honored with the Mathematical Association of America's Henry L. Alder Award for Distinguished Teaching by a Beginning Faculty Member. David's vita is here.
