The military phase of the Mexican Revolution lasted from 1910-1917, but many argue that the Revolution culminated with the Presidency of Lazaro Cardenas (1934-1940). We'll focus on this contested period of Mexican history and art and consider the role of art and artists in continuing, institutionalizing, and defining the Revolution.
