a. Not a physical location, en is more abstract.
Il est en voyage.
Ne te mets pas en colère!b. For time: indicates how long it took you to do something.
Nous l'avons terminé en deux heures.
(Compare to: Je vais le faire dans deux heures = two hours from now)
