Trouble Spots

IN the morning / afternoon / evening

Simple. It's just the definate article:  le matin, l'après-midi, le soir, with no word for in.

These expressions make general, habitual statements.

Le matin, je me lève assez tôt et je prends le petit déjeuner.
         [In the morning...]
L'après-midi, j'étudie toujours.
         [In, during the afternoon...]
Le soir je vais à la bibliothèque. Je suis une bonne étudiante, non?!
         [Evenings, in the evening...]
