Use the verb faire to give expressions involving the weather, except for to snow, to rain.

Il fait chaud (froid, du vent, bien, frais, etc.).

But: neiger: Il neige. pleuvoir: Il pleut.

BEWARE.: pleuvoir = to rain
pleurer = to cry (Il pleure.)
