Midterm Hypothesis Makeup Assignment - Fall 2005

Assignment: Print out the loist of hypotheses. Fix the broken ones. For each hypothesis, identify the dependent and independent variables. For the independent variables, identify the level of measurement.

Remember - there are rules for hypotheses. Make sure the ones you fix follow those rules.

The hypothesis page on the midterm was worth 30 points. So is this make-up assignment. Each one is worth 3 points: one for the hypothesis, one for the variables, one for the level of measurement. You have to turn in the midterm with this assignment and I'll substitute your score on this assignment for your score on that part of the midterm. I will try to get it done before midterm grades are turned in on tuesday morning, but no guarantees. If you are applying for something that needs midterm grades (LA, scholarships) let me know and i'll put yours on the top of the pile. Also remember, we have lots of points still to come - the content analysis, the survey, some spss exercises, a final if we need one. So don't freak out about this one grade.
