Calling, Ever Calling, concerto for oboe (or soprano saxophone) and wind ensemble (or chamber orchestra) (1990), commissioned by the Mid-American Conference Band Directors Association. First performance by Michael Henoch (oboist with the Chicago Symphony) and the Central Michigan University Wind Symphony, at the 50th anniversary convention of the College Band Directors’ National Association in Kansas City, Missouri.
