The Faculty Council consists of an elected body of members responsible for exercising faculty authority for Ithaca College. As the representative body of the Ithaca College faculty as a whole, Faculty Council makes recommendations for the College faculty on all-college policies concerning curriculum, programs, grading, appointments, tenure, and promotions. The College shall make no changes in these policies without recommendations from the Faculty Council. The Faculty Council will report its recommendations to the Provost and Vice President for Educational Affairs for decision.

Faculty Council and the Provost Office are working to make the Procedures for Formal Review and Promotion more clearly articulated.  We are actively seeking feedback through January 2024
