FLP Workshop-General information
Finger Lakes Project Workshop
Each year in May, the Finger Lakes Project hosts a workshop at Ithaca College. The workshop is aimed at college-level educators who are interested in learning more about sustainability, course design, experiential and cross-disciplinary learning. One of the most valuable parts of the workshop is hearing from other faculty about how they have incorporated sustainability into their own teaching and how their students responded. Attendees go on a walking tour of the area that serves an example of how to incorporate placed-based information in teaching. The workshop provides ample opportunity to discuss ideas, participate in hands-on activities, and form connections with other teachers.
