Jenny Lowe StearnsJenny Lowe Stearns
An American singer/songwriter located in Ithaca, New York, whose music has been compared to Emmylou Harris, Lucinda Williams, and Gillian Welch.

Jennie Stearns is an American singer/songwriter, born in Carlisle, Ma., who released four albums before  slightly changing her artist’s name into Jennie Lowe Stearns and releasing her fourth album (Blurry Edges, 2011) as Jennie Lowe Stearns & The Fire Choir.

From her website: “Down at the dreamy end of the alt-country road, Jennie Stearns plays ‘pure Americana’ in a class with Emmylou Harris, Lucinda Williams and Gillian Welch. Her songs are evocative, poignant, haunting, quintessentially human, by turns heartbreaking and hopeful. […] Stripped to their essence, eerily graceful, her slow ballads and sweet waltzes sound as if she learned them on someone’s back porch.”

Studio albums as Jennie Stearns:
Angel with a Broken Wing (1998)
Mourning Dove Songs (2000)
Sing Desire (2002)
Birds Fall (2007)
