FLEFF blogging interns discuss the new urban exploration app
Derive with leads
Eduardo Cachucho and
Babak Fakhamzadeh. The FLEFF staff team will soon be creating their own derives, exploring the much smaller environment of Ithaca.
The Derive app allows users to create online direction cards for exploring cityscapes; a personalized journey that allows users to publish their own mobilization through spaces. Derives have been created in Biella, New York City, Paris, San Francisco, and more; collaborative new media projects that brings people together.
Listen to different air conditioner sounds around you. Observe something Egyptian. Find a window cleaner at work, try to catch some refreshing water spray below. Go east.
Cachucho and
Fakhamzadeh created this app in order to create a new way of human communication with urban jungles and new technologies, bringing hand-on workshop explorations done in Abu Dhabi in February 2013 to users around the world. You can login with Facebook and start creating Derives now!
Stay tuned for more FLEFF Derive updates!
