What is The Dissonance Project?
A writing contest for high school students centered on nonfiction and journalism stories exploring our 2014 FLEFF festival theme, DISSONANCE. Submit news stories, narrative nonfiction, or nonfiction essays that push us to think about DISSONANCE in new ways.

Our distinguished jury comprises Ithaca College Professors Mead Loop, Sonali Somarasinghe and Catherine Taylor, who contribute to the Documentary Studies and Production Program in the Roy H. Park School of Communications. They will select winners for cash prizes of $100. Winning entries also will be published on the FLEFF website and receive complimentary tickets to the annual conference.

The Dissonance Project writing contest for high-school students is a collaborative partnership between the Documentary Studies and Production Program at Ithaca College and the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival.
