Reviewing, Updating, Testing, and Distributing the Plan
The overall threat of pandemic influenza, as determined by fluctuating viral pathogenicity and prevalence, population susceptibility, immunization prevalence and effectiveness, community factors such as travel patterns, the availability and effectiveness of treatment, and public health preparedness, is constantly changing, as are the standards for institutional pandemic response. The Ithaca College Pandemic Influenza Plan must be regularly reviewed and updated as needed, to reflect those changes. Similarly, the plan must be effectively distributed to all involved parties, and effectively tested on a regular basis.
