About the Office and
Procedures This office is the
initial point of contact for most faculty or staff seeking grants, contracts,
or gifts for scholarly or educational projects. Information on some
fellowships and travel grants is available. Academic Funding also oversees
the routing (for office institutional signatures) of all federal grants and
most private source proposals. Notice of grants-in-process is required one
month in advance (through the "Intent Form"). Routing copies for
signature, including face sheets, budgets, and a narrative that has been
proofed, are due two weeks before mailing deadline. Please see "Guidelines for
Seeking External Funding" for more information. Proposals
Funded/Grants Received
This page lists funded
proposals. Required Procedures and Forms Faculty members are strongly
encouraged to seek external support for projects such as: 1) curricular
development or revision; 2) instructional or research instrumentation needs;
3) individual or departmental research; and 4) faculty development or skills
improvement (e.g. sabbatic, fellowships, or internships). External grants are
binding contracts between the sponsoring agency and Ithaca College. As a
result, careful review of proposals before submission is required.
