Applying to the Program

How To Apply

Applying to the Certificate in Applied Gerontology program involves:

  • Completing and submitting the Online Application Form. The Online form asks for demographic and contact information, a cover letter describing your interest in the program, and a resume outlining your education, employment and volunteer history.  Applicants should prepare the cover letter and resume (as separate Word documents) first.  The Online Application directs you to upload these documents after completing an online form. 
  • Requesting a letter of recommendation from a faculty member or employer.  This letter should speak to your performance in college-level classes or to your interest in and motivation to pursue a career in the field of aging.  
  • Requesting official transcripts from any college or university in which you were enrolled part time or full time. 

       The letter of recommendation and transcripts should be mailed to:
