2012 Enduring Masters featuring Dick DeBenedictis '58
"What's the Score?" - This entertaining multi-media event, held in October 2012 at Ithaca College, featured Dick DeBenedictis, an American composer and Ithaca College 1958 alumnus. Noted for creating the scores of many popular television shows including Perry Mason and Matlock, DeBenedictis's two-day visit to campus included an evening public event, as well as three master classes for theatre and music students, in which he spoke about composing and shared insights about his multifaceted career path.
Then and Now
A winning combination--a Gerontology Institute faculty member and a teacher from Cayuga Heights Elementary School write and receive a grant to work with Kendal at Ithaca, a New York continuing care retirement community.
Public School Grant
The goal of the Public School grant, aka Lesson Plans on Aging Issues project, was to integrate issues of aging into the social studies curriculum for grades 7 to 12. We hope you will check the web site to learn more about the project, but here are some photos we would like to share.

Complete Streets Week, April 2010
The week of April 19 - 23, intergenerational groups of volunteers completed Walkability Surveys in the Ithaca area. The goal was to identify problem areas for pedestrians, especially those with mobility limitations and people who use wheelchairs or strollers. This Gallery showcases some of the areas surveyed and volunteers who participated in this initiative.
