The donor relations office recently received an enthusiastic note from Kendra Domotor '15, a voice performance major in the School of Music who had traveled through Europe to study opera, thanks to the Gregory S. Woodward '78 Summer Music Festival Award.
She sent along a clever collection of photos (included here in this gallery), and wrote:
"Thank you so much for helping me get to Germany to study opera with the International Performing Arts Institute (IPAI) this summer! It was an incredible four weeks. I was able to sightsee in Austria, see Diana Damrau perform live at the Bayerische Staatsoper, and see Verdi's Aida at the Arena di Verona in Italy -- not to mention the world-class opera training I received in Kiefersfelden, Germany. I could never have done this without your incredibly generous scholarship. Danke schön!"
You can see her final performance at the IPAI "Opera Superstar" concert on YouTube.
