Report on Giving

You Are Here

As a donor to Ithaca College, you are everywhere on our campus. You are the Tuesday-morning chemistry lecture. You are the financial aid that puts students on campus. You are the next big invention. Have no doubt, you are here for our students.

Please enjoy the following snapshots of life at IC -- they wouldn't happen without you.

Breaking New Ground Breaking New Ground

Zach Weg '14 sits in "the pub," student slang for IC Square, a part of the Campus Center. His friend Tyler stops by; the two exchange handshakes and pleasantries. "See? This is it right here," Zach says. "One of the things that makes IC great."

Zach's not talking about the pub's provisions -- or the fist bump. He's talking about his overall experience: his life at Ithaca College. Zach's a writing major from Queens, New York, and he chose IC because he wanted a liberal arts education at a small, residential college. He hasn't been disappointed.

"There are so many talented, smart professors here. I learn with them and from them," Zach says. "I appreciate the things I have access to at Ithaca College, and I am incredibly grateful."

Zach decided to support the Senior Class Gift Campaign, a tradition at IC that encourages seniors to show support not only for their college but for their colleagues -- students who will come after them.

Last year, the class of 2013 brought its A game. They broke a record for participation and broke new ground by designating their gift to the Ithaca College Annual Fund, which supports everything from student clubs and organizations to top-notch classroom resources to conference travel.

"I am so proud of our 2013 seniors, their enthusiasm, their hard work. They really wanted to make a statement, and they did," says Alyssa Cooper, associate director of the IC Annual Fund. "The Annual Fund is so important to their experience here on campus. They understood that and demonstrated remarkable generosity."
