Graduate Music Session

In order to take core courses in the summer graduate music session, students must be admitted into the summer master's degree program in music education, except by permission. However, electives in music education (MUED 69700-69704) and other selected courses may be taken by others on a space available basis.

Tuition rates for summer 2009 are:
Graduate tuition, per credit hour: $603
Noncredit participation fee (graduate music workshops only): $625

Application Procedures & Deadlines for New Degree Students
Students who wish to apply for the summer master's program in music education should consult the Division of Graduate and Professional Studies, 607-274-3527 or gps@ithaca.edu. To schedule an audition, contact Thomas Kline tkline@ithaca.edu, director of music admissions, 607-274-3157. All application materials must be complete and submitted by April 1 to receive full consideration for the summer music education program, as well as for summer assistantships.

Course Registration for Continuing Degree Students
Continuing students in the summer graduate music program should register online using HomerConnect. Students are advised to contact Timothy Johnson, the graduate music chair, prior to enrollment. The bursar's office will bill students for summer charges.

July 6-August 7, 2009
Courses meet Monday through Friday, July 6-August 7, unless specified otherwise. Students who enroll in graduate music courses are advised to contact the chair of graduate studies in music prior to enrollment.
