What credit cards are accepted for the required $40 application fee?
The application fee can be paid by check or online by credit card. We accept MasterCard, Discover, and American Express (Visa is not accepted).
What are the next steps after I submit my application?
- Pay application fee (if not done at time of submission).
- Mail required transcripts and letters of recommendation.
- Schedule audition/mail DVD (music only).
- Submit GRE or GMAT test scores, if required.
- Monitor application checklist often to determine if there are outstanding items. Continue monitoring once application is complete, for your decision.
How quickly will the admission decision be made on my application?
It's really hard to give you a specific answer because every program is different and it depends on the time of year that you apply.
When are assistantship decisions made?
For most programs decisions are made by April 15, except for summer's only music students. Decisions are made by the graduate chairperson and you will be notified separately from your admission decision.
What is the application deadline for my program?
Application deadlines vary by program. Please visit the General Requirements page for specifics.
How do I know if you've received my letters of recommendation or other materials?
Through the online application system you can monitor what items have been received and what items remain outstanding. Follow the steps outlined on the Application Checklist page for specifics.
What are the next steps after I've been accepted?
- Return your student acceptance form with your $150 advance deposit.
- Meet with your chair or advisor.
- Find housing.
- Complete the necessary health forms and review the health insurance policy.
If I am accepted can I defer my admission to a later date?
Yes. Included in your accept letter is a form that you will return with your deposit. You can indicate a deferral on this form.
What is IC Grad Peers?
IC Grad Peers is an online community of newly accepted Ithaca College graduate students. It is a resource for all things "grad" at Ithaca College. Membership is by invitation only. The purpose of IC Grad Peers is for newly accepted grad students to get to know each other, their graduate program chair, the staff of the Division of Graduate & Professional Studies, and learn about the Ithaca area before arriving on campus. Through IC Grad Peers, new graduate students can learn about housing options, find a roommate, learn about social activities in and around the Ithaca area, and stay apprised of what's happening within the Ithaca College graduate community.
