We are delighted to have you join the Ithaca College community and are confident that you will enjoy your time in Ithaca as a graduate student.
Below you will find important information for all first-time Ithaca College graduate students.
The Division of Graduate & Professional Students will hold an All-College Graduate Student Orientation on Tuesday, August 25, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Emerson Suites. Lunch will be provided.
Most other graduate programs also offer specialized orientation sessions for their incoming graduate students. See the list of individual program orientation sessions.
Current email and local mailing addresses are crucial to communication between students and various campus offices. Please be sure to provide the Division of Graduate and Professional Studies with your current (local) mailing address as well as any email address changes.
All students are required to have health insurance, and we advance bill all students for coverage arranged by Ithaca College. Brochures explaining the Ithaca College student insurance plan will be mailed to you.
Additional coverage and family plans are available for purchase. Please contact the Health Center for details, 607-274-3319. Information and enrollment forms are also available online.
Students are automatically enrolled in the student health insurance plan. If you do not desire coverage, you must submit a waiver in order to have the charge removed. The online waiver system is available from June 15, 2009 to September 30, 2009. After September 30, the insurance fee becomes non-refundable.
At the main menu, click "Student Financial Aid and Residential Life" and then select "Health Services." When submitting the waiver you will be required to enter information regarding your current insurance.
If you have received your Homer ID and pin number, you may sign up for an Ithaca College e-mail account.
All parking at Ithaca College is reserved. Please park in the red lots when you arrive on campus. There is no charge for a parking permit; however, your vehicle must be registered with the Office of Public Safety.
At the website you will be asked to fax your vehicle registration. When you print the receipt, it serves as a temporary parking permit for the follow two-week period. Your permanent parking permit will be sent to you prior to the expiration of your temporary permit.
