Other Important Information
E-mail and Mailing Addresses
Current email and local mailing addresses are crucial to communication between students and various campus offices. Please be sure to provide the Division of Graduate and Professional Studies with your current (local) mailing address as well as any email address changes.
Ithaca College E-mail Account
As soon as you have received your Homer ID and pin number, you should sign up for an Ithaca College e-mail account. You will receive important messages from the College via your Ithaca College e-mail account from time to time.
Health Insurance
All students are required to have health insurance, and we advance bill all students for coverage arranged by Ithaca College. Brochures explaining the Ithaca College student insurance plan will be mailed to you.
Additional coverage and family plans are available for purchase. Please contact the Health Center for details, 607-274-3177. Information and enrollment forms are also available online.
Students are automatically enrolled in the student health insurance plan. If you do not desire coverage, you must submit a waiver in order to have the charge removed. The online waiver system will be available from June 20, 2011, through September 18, 2011. After September 18 the insurance fee becomes nonrefundable. You may submit the waiver online by logging on to HomerConnect any time during this period. At the main menu, click "Student Financial Aid and Residential Life" and then select "Health Services." When submitting the waiver you will be required to enter information regarding your current insurance.
Parking
All parking at Ithaca College is reserved. Please park in the red lots when you arrive on campus. There is no charge for a parking permit; however, your vehicle must be registered with the Office of Public Safety.
For programs starting in the summer, you must take your Ithaca College identification and vehicle registration in person to register your vehicle with the Office of Public Safety. Fall programs should register for parking online. At the web site you will be asked to fax your vehicle registration. When you print the receipt, it serves as a temporary parking permit for the follow two-week period. Your permanent parking permit will be sent to you by the Office of Parking and Traffic Services prior to the expiration of your temporary parking permit.
Student ID
In order to obtain your student ID you must have an ID authorization form, available from the Division of Graduate & Professional Studies. Take the ID authorization form to the ID office located in the campus center, 3rd floor (337 Egbert Hall).
