Ari Kissiloff, assistant professor in the Department of Strategic Communication, serves as director of
new media for the New York State Communication Association. As part of his duties, he has recently
designed and created the organization's new website.
The site includes information about the organization, its officers and members, and the annual
conference. Several interactive features are included, such as live RSS feeds of education and
communications news from a variety of sources, as well as the ability to automatically print or email
articles. The site's content management system allows the organization's officers to make changes to
the website remotely and without web programming knowledge.
NYSCA's 65th annual conference, "Failing to Communicate: Learning from Mistakes," will be held the
weekend of October 19 at the Hudson Valley Resort near New Paltz, New York. More information is
available at www.nyscanet.org.
