Ithaca's School of Business offers two graduate business degrees and both provide superior graduate instruction in management. Additionally, the M.B.A. degree allows candidates to personalize their degree by choosing elective courses in their areas of interest, while the M.B.A. in professional accountancy degree provides the advanced accounting coursework required for the New York State C.P.A. exam. The M.B.A. in professional accountancy begins June 2010.
Prior work experience is not required for admission to Ithaca's M.B.A. programs, and candidates can earn their M.B.A. in a time frame that meets their personal and professional goals. Full-time students can earn an M.B.A. in as little as 10 months, while part-time students have up to six years to complete the degree requirements.
Candidates who combine a non-business undergraduate degree with an Ithaca M.B.A. obtain skills that are highly marketable in all professions. Ithaca's Pre-M.B.A. Program is designed to help candidates with non-business backgrounds meet the admissions requirements and succeed in the M.B.A. program.
Individuals can take up to six credits of M.B.A. coursework as an extramural student before applying to the M.B.A. program.
